The first generation Mustang Fastback has grown into near mythical status as one of the most collectible classic cars on the planet. Restored (2017) with no expense spared, this Mustang can't be described as anything less than absolutely outstanding. All of the five star power points you would expect to find on a top end Classic Car are evident on this particular Mustang some of which include; numbers matching drivetrain, show quality chrome and exterior stainless, pristine exterior glass, like new interior, like new engine bay, perfect panel alignment, #s matching drivetrain, NOS parts used throughout, detailed undercarraige with everything showcased in a Base/Clear PPG paint finish that looks like a house of mirrors right through to the underside of the trunk lid. The push for  performance was in full swing by 1965 with the Mustang Fastback 289 being the very version of a V8 touring car for the mid sixties. This particular 65 2+2 contains an excellent balance of performance and convenience options some of which include; 289 engine, Select Shift C4 transmission, handling package with front sway bar, power assist Disc brakes. power steering, Rally Pac with clock and tach, GT road lamps, exterior accent group, Carlite tinted glass with banded windshield, Day/Night mirror, (rare) split bench front seats, desirable factory air conditioning. As well this is a R Plant San Jose California built, DSO 71 Los Angeles sold, lifelong West Coast 76A Mustang that retains most of it's San Jose sheet metal, original issue door data tag and includes receipts and picture documentation for restoration work completed from drivetrain to paintwork and beyond.
