As well the mechanical report on this particular T/A can be summed up in a word... perfect, with everything functioning as good as it did the day it left the showroom floor right through to it's original solenoid Ram Air system.

Conservative wasn't in the mindset of Pontiac stylists when they formulated the 70 Trans Am that was packaged close to an SCCA race car right off the showroom floor. This car was meticulously restored using either restored original or NOS parts and aside from radial tires looks the same as it did the day it rolled off the Norwood assembly line in 1970.




The Firebird T/A's most desirable attribute for performance enthusiasts was it's genetic tie to the actual 1970 SCCA Trans Am race car. The W72 option turned the Firebird into a verified corner carver and featured; vented Delco Moraine disc brakes, blueprinted suspension, specialized steering box, 15X7 wheels and Safe-T-Track axle to name a few.



The paint finish on this particular Trans Am is nothing less than museum level quality that's deep, uniform and absolutely flawless right through to the door jambs. As well this is a documented lifelong West Coast car and true to form retains most of it's factory issue sheet metal, pristine original exterior glass and Norwood issue cowl tag. The entire build of this T/A is picture documented from start to finish and includes a library of receipts and a recent certified appraisal with an assessed value of $108K US. As well this is a collector owned car and with only show miles driven since restored (Sept. 2013) this Trans Am runs and drives like a new car with no issues whatsoever.






Along with an all new exterior, the 1970 Trans Am featured one of the most upscale, user friendly interiors ever sewn into a muscle car. Restored to concours standards in it's original code 201 Blue, this interior is virtually indistinguishable from showroom new with everything functional and in absolutely perfect working order down to the key warning buzzer.








This is the original numbers matching YZ code Ram Air III 400 engine for the car that's been professionaly rebuilt to exact factory 345HP specifications with everything in this engine bay date coded to the car through to it's original 7040270 Quadrajet carburetor. Every other aspect of this drivetrain is original to the car from it's Turbo 400 transmission back to it's COZ stamped 3:73 Safe-T-Track axle.
